The Village of Red Hook will be performing water maintenance activities on July 6th between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm and flushing hydrants the week of July 13th between the hours of 6 am and 2 pm.

Low pressure may temporarily occur, discoloration or cloudiness are possible following hydrant flushing in your area.  Generally, this will clear up by running cold water for several minutes.  Although the water is still considered safe to use during this time, customers should refrain from doing laundry when water is discolored and avoid running hot water, as mineral sediments can accumulate in your water heater.

The Village of Red Hook annual flushing of fire hydrants removes minerals and sediment that build up over time and ensures that all fire hydrants are in good working order.

If you have any questions please contact the water department at: 845-758-1081, extension 1.
