Mayor's Office
The Mayor is the chief executive officer of the Village and is responsible for all day-to-day operations. Elected for four-year terms, the Mayor is also responsible for enforcing all laws, rules and regulations.

Board of Trustees
The legislative body of the Village, the Board of Trustees is composed of the Mayor and four Village Trustees. Elected for four-year terms, Trustees for the Village of Red Hook must be village residents who are 18 years or older.

Planning Board
The Planning Board’s primary responsibility is providing advisory recommendations to the Village Board on matters related to community planning and zoning. As well as reviewing and confirming compliance with the zoning regulations.

Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals decides appeals and requests for variances from the requirements of Village Law. There are two types of variances: use and area.

Justice Court
One of 27 trial courts in Dutchess County, NY, Red Hook Village Court. has jurisdiction over vehicle and traffic matters, small claims, evictions, civil and criminal matters.

Committees & Commissions
Committees are appointed by the Village Mayor as advisable by resolution of the Village Board. Committees may conduct investigations, make detailed studies of pending proposals, confer with various municipal departments and officers, and otherwise perform work to support the objectives of the Village Board.
